Is a 2 ft. Deep closet too narrow for 1000w?
I'm curious if there is any fire danger to putting such a large light in such a small spot.
It's an air cooled 1000w HPS with a hood that almost reaches both sides of the closet.

The only thing that causes fire are
1: Heat
2: Bad Electrical
However, how tall is this, cause 1000w HPS so close to the walls cant be that far from the plants so u could totally fry them.

I can hang the light as high as 6 feet without any modifications to the space.

I am planning on growing a sea of green. I'm going to be budding a bunch of seedlings, blooming at 8-10 inches.

So, the area is a 2' x 2' enclosed closet? If so, a 1000w HPS is going to have to be super-ventilated in order to keep temperatures down. Will you be able to make some holes in the drywall/attic/door to allow for active ventilation?
Going with a 600w system would help keep the heat down, but even it would need to be sufficiently ventilated to keep from cooking everything in the closet like an oven.

The space is 6 feet wide, 2 feet deep and 6 feet tall. The narrowness seems to be the biggest constraint.
I have an inline turbo exhaust for the air cooled 1000W. Should I assist with and additional intake fan or another exhaust?

If you're going to start with the 1000W (or any HID for that matter), you should do a dry run for about 24-48 hours with the light burning, and the fans circulating the air however you're going to have it setup for the grow. Keep tabs on your temps. I don't know how well your inline exhaust fan will work, so the best way for you to find out is to test it yourself. But the light is definitely going to get warm, you should adjust accordingly. Ventilation is just as crucial as lighting, so don't skimp on it!
