    Post-Gig Appreciation Syndrome

Has anyone here ever been to a gig with like.. i dunno maybe like 3 or 4 different bands playin.. and when you were there you only knew like one or two of the bands properly.

Then a short period after the gig you go on a download spree of the tracks from the bands you didn't know that well.. and find out that they're actually really amazing.

Then it's like.. uh shit.. if i'd have done this earlier i would have really appreciated seeing them live.. it feels like a wasted chance to see them almost.

I named it post-gig appreciation syndrome

    Fuckin yeah mayte

Kinda. When I saw the Pixies at Brixton in 1994 Graham Coxen was supporting. He was pretty good, although of course I didn't pay that much attention as I was waiting to see a band whom I had just waited 13 years to reuinite and tour. Months later I hear his new album on NME, fucking good album I though. THEN months later after that I fucking realise/find out he's only the bleeding guitarist from Blur!

Yeah I know exactly what you mean... I saw System of a Down and the Mars Volta a while ago and when i went I hadnt really listened to either of them a whole lot. Now I wish i had listened to them before I saw them because it would have been so much better

If they're good I'll have an amazing time at the concert even if I don't know them.

If they're bad then I'll be booing. Do you guys know how bad T.I. sucks? He was singing at least half a note out of tune, I am not kidding.

i normanlly research and download some tracks so ill know the osund before.

But music is meant to be played live, so when i download them after it reminds me of how freaking great it was.

true in the hype of the gig you may miss some, but the energy, feeling and funness isnt repeated when you listen at home.
