I've been 'tinkering' around with honey oils and other 'concentrated' extractions recently, and was wondering if anyone else has experience of using them in cooking, or more accurately, in edibles.

Ideally I wanted to put together a recipe that avoids any kind of heat or cooking (and hopefully helps people who have had problems with the 'crock pot' method get good product).

The obvious answer was the butane method, but I'm trying to make this as 'healthy' (and as easy to make) as possible, so was wondering if anybody has any ideas or suggestions, or knows a simple technique to purify the oil for consumption?

Ethanol is another possibility, but again, I want it to be a process that's simple (or as simple as possible) to follow, and made from ingredients that aren't too difficult to get hold of.

i.e. After reading 'splifteds' thread in the 'concentrates' section I've been working on making a miniature 'honey oil' device using readily available household items (made from metal as the solvents used can dissolve plastics into the oil), like a Parker pen or other small metal tube.
The idea is to, hopefully make very small quantities (safely) of THC concentrated oil to be mixed into capsules etc, so if anyone has any suggestions 'chuck 'em in' and lets see if our combined brain power can sort out a method!

Cheers
