these are my pics of my first time growing. if you can notice its growing out of my snapping turtle tank. me and my friend couldnt believe it!!! check it out and let me know what u think.

That looks pretty good so far, i cant tell from the pics to well. it looks kinda stretchy. make sure and keep direct light on it if ur trying to really grow it. but u say its in your turtle tank? like whatd u toss a seed in the tank or somthing?

yea it looks pretty crappy in those pics but now the first set of 7 fingered leaves are growing.the stem is pretty thick now. its growing out of a small cup with HOLES FOR THE ROOTS..The medium is some rocks an some of the crap on the bottom of tank(really to get it started).there is a hose that makes bubbles for the roots.the dirty water from the tutrle and fish seem to be supstaining its nutritional needs for now at least. right now its under a 100 watt cfl. we switched it to 12/12 after the second set of 5 fingers in order to keep it relativaly short in lenghth. we will lsting also soon. also we will be adding an additional 150 watt cfl. not really trying to get much of a harvest ....we built the whole set up in 20 minutes anyway.will post new pics probly today!

I'm gonna laugh my ass off when that turtle decides to eat your plant. But, in the mean time, good thread! :thumbsup:

well, the plant has three sets of 7 fingered leaves now and has been on 12/12 for 2 weeks now. the side branches appear that they are gonna shoot out soon. when should i expect to see a pistle or nut sack? also added another 100 watt equivelent bulb. any advic wiould be appreciated!:jointsmile:
