too much nitrogen?

just today i came in and quite a few of the leaves are blue green which i know means im giving too much nitrogen, but another thing is that they are like reaching toward the sky almost like reverse droop. i just fed them this morning, so i cant flush for a few days. im going out to get a ph meter and epsom salt tomorrow (and if anyone knows the ratio of salt to water that would be cool). if you know any other reason they would be blue green or reaching for the heavens any advice or experience would be appreciated.

ratio of salt to water for? A nitrogen overdose?

good question^. epsom is generaly for a mg defficency(unless i dont know) i wouldnt think you would want to add it while you are overferted any ways. dont let it wait if you over did it, flush them if you see signs.

the temp is about 80 in there because its been about 73 degrees outside here all week and its supposed to be like 50, so its possible that its a little warmer than they are used to. they've just got to the point where i need to raise the light about another 6 inches, which ill do tommorow morning. salt to water just to balance the ph, but i didnt think that it probably depends on how much my ph is off. from everything i heard epsom salt balances the ph in the soil, not just for mg deficiency. the one thats doing it the most is the closest to the light so i bet its the temp, no signs of burns or heat stress otherwise but i do need to raise it asap.

i have heard of epsom to balance the ph of coir, but i am a total newbie in that area.

I've never heard of using epsom salts to balance the ph of anything.

I wouldn't use Epsom Salts to try and affect the pH, either. I've only ever used it to treat for Magnesium deficiencies, and I can't think of any other reason to use it. You'd have to use a ton of it in order for it to have much of an effect on the pH of the soil.

If you can't get your hands on pH Up/Down, you can add dolomite lime to raise the pH, or garden sulfur to lower it.
