if i have some 250W construction flood lights. can i use them to vegetate? what if they have a UV sheild over the bulbs? whats a good vegatative light instead?

yeah they do heat up verrryyy fast. but i considered a timer to rotation between them. what kind of light is best?

Metal Halide is considered best by many for vegetative growth, High Pressure Sodium for flowering.

Many growers use HPS for the entire grow.
