Your last trip to the emergency room...

There are some of us who manage to avoid accidents and never end up going to the ER. This thread is not for you.

For me, it was a couple years ago when I was in high school. It was the middle of the night and I really needed to pee so I got up to go to the bathroom. Well, it was dark and not seeing where I was stepping my foot brushed up against our old wooden bathroom door and a big chunk of the wood came out, lodged itself into the bottom of my foot and came out the back. I figured this was a good time to break the general rule of not making excessively loud noises during the night. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! Well naturally, my parents awake to the noise and within minutes I'm on my way to the emergency room, where they were able to remove the piece of wood and give me a tetanus shot. About an hour later I returned home and was finally able to piss like I had set out to do in the first place.

So, as for all of you, why was your last visit to the ER necessary?

Last time i went to the emergency room was when i was in the 8th grade for a fractured elbow and to tell ya the truth it hurt like a B***h because i fell on some wooden stairs and it was on christmas eve

3 years ago i decided to take the gunpowder out of an artillery shell firework (the big famous pretty explosions in the sky) and i tried to blow up a crawfish by making a trail to a big circle of powder like on cartoons

Okay it was a little bit over a year ago and it was before I started smoking pot or doing anything else (including alcohol). Well, I started getting sick and thought it would be fine. Well, it was until I ended up getting some weird case of mucus...something or other, and it put an EXTREME amount of pressure on my eardrums. In fact, it was enough to shatter my eardrums.
Not only was the pain unBEARABLE but I couldn't hear, to boot (because my eardrums were in pieces, literally).

Now, this was during a time in my life when I cut myself recreationally because I liked the pain. Keep that in mind. Well, the pain was so intense from my eardrums being shattered (and the pressure was still there, btw) so finally when I was taking a shower to try and ease the pain I got out and said, "Let's go to the hospital." We did, and I missed school for 6 days while they gave me shots at the hospital, and a steady supply of 1000mg Vicodin. ^_^

That's what originally got me into drugs, of any kind, for recreational use.

trippin on dxm a while back--me and 3 friends at the lake-cop rolled up reeked like weed-he ended up finding 7 empty bottles of tussin and some beer and bud,pipes etc..He ended up calling poison control cuz he didn't believe us that we were fine.So i was told that we had tpo stay for a minimum of 4 hours ,so we left in an ambulance messed up.We all stayed in hte hospital,but later found out that you can deny them the right to treat you.Sat ina bed with a heartrate monitor on.They took blood and piss.Pretty weird experience,basically summed it up.It was alot more interesting to me and allot more details.We all got tickets, for alcohol possesion(all 4),and unlawful marijuana poss.(3)haha i didn't get caught.Put my shit in my boot,everyone else froze up.So i got one 100 fine,witha 75 dollar surcharge,and they all got 2 100 fines,each with a 75 dollar surcharge.Plus we were out of town so we had to drive to court aways away.Made the paper and everything.
That was my last time in the emergency room.And coincidently the last time doing dxm in public.

My sorry arse gets dragged of to hospital at least 6 times a year due to the Multiple Sclerosis causing me to have seizures, and my specialist userly makes me stay in for about 5 days so they can run tests on me. The ambulance people have a hard time getting me to go with them, I fight to the bitter end.

Christmas day '99 ate shit on a big ol' backcountry kicker, ended up smacking myself in the forehead with my snowboard and tearing my right ACL to bits. Had to get towed out by ski patrol and everything. That was a fun Christmas...

This girl from the opposing team (playing basketball) was going for a baseline drive and somehow I must have stepped funny but I planted myself and she plowed into me twisting my leg and POP I heard and I was down on the groud with excruciating pain. After the initial shock to my body it didn't hurt that much BUT it was humunnnggguussslllllyyyyy swollen and red and puffy and I had to go get in drained and all that jazz.
Later during recovery I fell down a buch of wooden stairs in the night (thinking the basement door was the bathroom door) Well this hurt like hell because I didn't have all my range of movement back and my knee went all the way to my ass and it hurt so much all I could do was writhe in pain at the bottom of the stairs while my body shook!!
Glad that is all over with..........
