Those precious creatures.
Nonsense! A dog can virtually take care of itself, and it's independent upbringing might even make one hell of a guard-dog. Maybe you'd benefit more by adopting a pet? I can give you two great reasons why that wouldn't be a bad idea, even for one who might be away from home for awhile.
First, it would be a great relief to your local animal shelter who probably has more pets than it can afford to feed. Plus, it means that one less animal has to undergo euthanization as many shelters do not have the luxury of putting a "non-kill shelter" sign outside their establishment.
The second reason why adopting a dog might be the best route for you is that you wont have to worry that your cute little puppy isn't getting enough affection...I know first-hand that a cold upbringing can cause serious detriment to a dog's self-esteem and yes such concepts exist in animals too.Ganj Reviewed by Ganj on . Those precious creatures. I'm talking about my cat of course. She's comfortably found herself nestled inside of my sleeping blanket, not even the shine of light can reach her in there. She's won my heart with barely any effort. I guess I'm a sucker for cute behavior? Rating: 5
