Free expensive CFL bulbs, almost.
Any of you who have a Costco membership might want to ask the ones in your area if they have the light bulb sale going on. The ones in my area are practically giving away the less common and more expensive daylight bulbs. Usually people will only find the 2700K, which are more reddish, best for budding, and half the price. Right now Costco is offering an instant coupon which allows you to purchase a 6 pack of 75 watt equivalent bulbs for 49 cents. That's just over 8 cents per bulb. These are the same bulbs that I just bought a bunch of at $3 each because they were on sale from $5 each. They are now back up to $5. These are vegging bulbs and more bluish and 5800K, which is almost the perfect wavelength for peak chlorophyll activity in vegging. They will make your plants have more nodes and grow wider and bushier. Keep using the cheap ones for budding, but use 10-20% of the blue too.
The down side? Only 1 pack per day, per person. Good thing I know someone who works there and is getting me a pack a day until they're gone.Opie Yutts Reviewed by Opie Yutts on . It wasn't in a book. It's an instant coupon at the store. I hope there's some left for you all.
