Testing for THC in brownies?

Figured some people might know around here...

Can the police do this?

Somebody I know was caught with them, not charged yet because obviously its just for suspicion of possession but they were confiscated. They told me that a cop told them that they have never tested anything like that before and that its very hard... there aren't any obvious signs of marijuana in them and my friend doesn't even know if there is anything in them...

Isn't there too many compounds in the brownies to simply test for the THC?

I'm sure there lab can check it. They should have been able to test a sample with there intial test kit they keep with them.

Well they haven't tested them yet... they said it takes around 12-14 days for the results for a regular test and the brownies aren't regular.

what are they gonna do put a piece of the brownie in the test and see how it turns out? lol that doesn't seem really legit

all i know is that it'd be a blower to get charged with "suspicion" of controlled brownies.:wtf:
