Why not just give your old doc a call? Just tell them you are looking for a specialist for your pain and you want the records to speed things up. My doctor sent me my records (took about a week, two weeks, after I told him I wanted a copy) and didn't fuss about it.

A pill bottle, while it does say that you were in pain at one time, most likely won't cut it, except at the sleeziest of clinics. You could have been given the pills for a transitory condition, like having a tooth pulled. Just call your old doctor- it will be less hassle in the long run. And besides, you get to see what your old doc said about you! :wtf:

As for "Do I qualify?" Almost everyone who has a legit medical problem qualifies. Chronic pain covers a LOT of territory! If your pain interferes with normal life, you are covered- but ya gotta have the paper to prove it! Walking in with an old pill bottle, most likely won't make it! - Granny:hippy:
