I was actually going to ask the same thing, is it incandescent? because I can't see the actual bulb but I have one of those 80's lookin type desk lamps you are using too and those bulbs won't work...

Ya know...with all the floro switch talk now days, I wonder how long it will be before those bulbs are a thing of the past. But of course not until dimming florescents are made..lol

yea you can use florecents... my adivice get a Florescent (23w flo= 100w incandescent and the lumes is 1500 of one flo) and there $4.00 (2 per pack) at Wal-mart if you get around to it so that should be enough light for them or even one light. now remember what effort and time you put into plants the more they well love you back at harvest time...

Yea well I figure one bulb will work until they actually break through the soil. Once I get more fixtures I can make myself a grow box.

1 cfl wont do 6 plants. up it to 6 minimum until they start to get bigger. itll also give you the heat you want. 20$ and some minor wirings skills, and youll have yourself a nice light rig.

Alright so now I have a heating lamp, with a uv bulb or w/e and the same flourescent bulb but I put a new fixture in it so it actually gets all the plants. Should I change the uv bulb to a flourescent?
