The planet is in a constant state of change and evolving in it's own way.
This is exactly the kind of thing the dinosaurs used to say!

But on a more serious note, you are right that natural climate change has always occured and will continue to occur. However, there is geologic evidence that past natural changes in the climate coincided with natural changes in the CO2 concentration in the atmosphere. Human beings are responsible for doubling the concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere --- that part is proven, and even scientists who do not agree that global warming is occurring agree that it is humans who have increased the CO2 concentration. Most climate scientists think that the increased CO2 will result in a dramatic climate change, and because the CO2 concentration has changed more rapidly than ever seen in the geologic record, many think the climate change will occur suddenly and chaoticly. Fossil evidence shows that climate changes also coincide with increased rates of extinctions. So if sudden and dramatic climate change does occur, we should expect a lot of species to not be able to survive.

It's hard to believe that human beings are so significant to be able to permanently change all the weather on the entire planet, but if you accept the well-proven fact that we have already changed the atmospheric composition, you should be able to extrapolate that to the possibility that the climate will change as a result. Very few reputable scientists doubt it.

I think that human beings will probably survive climate change, but it is not guaranteed. We may end up as bones in the ground, and the next intelligent beings to inhabit this planet may someday ask, "Do you believe in humans?"

SO FUCKIN TRUE!!! but its not gonna happen tomorrow so i think we will be okay
oh yeh it was global cooling not global warming ice ages and all that.

You know why the dinosaurs died of thhe global cooling coz they didnt have any fur and died out they could'nt adapt but we can, no-one knows for sure but i say as humans we have adapted to so many different changes i think we will survive!!

keep toking, keep smiling, keep burning :rastasmoke:

Some people still think that the earth is a flat disk resting on the back of a giant tortoise.

I agree with you. I believe the world is getting warmer, therefore, global warmning is real.

I dont beleive us humans have anything to do with it though. I think it's something else our Governments can scare us with. Extort more taxes - higher fuel prices, charging us for the road we use, etc etc.

I encourage everyone to spay deoderant in the air and rev your engines!

On the entire global warming thing lets get over this, go green save the earth bullshit. If it was really that bad dont you think the slogan would be lets save ourselves, all the carbon monoxide we're breathing in cant be too good.

Remember a world long long ago, when there was no manufacturing powerplants, no cities, no buses, no cars, hell barely even any people. What was here before then? a shit load of trees. GUESS WHAT, there was lightning back then believe it or not. What happens when 4 million acres of trees burn and there is not one fire fighter to put them out. They keep burning and burning, and what do trees put off when they burn? Yep that bad stuff we are all worried about. Now you may argue and say oh bullshit dom, there are so many people with so many cars, so much carbon comes out of them. Think about how many wildfires were burning "out of control" daily back then.

    just my .02:thumbsup:

Environmental and climatological scientists have proven, over and over, that we're in the midst of global climate change with changes in ocean levels, temperature and weather patterns, holes in our ozone layer, higher UV indices, melting polar ice caps, and much much more. But there are still dipsticks who deny the existence of global climate change (or warming).

well alaska was a tropical region a long ass time ago, the sun used to rise in the north and set in the south.
the earth is contstantly turning in every direction, global warming is slightly affected by co2 but a 1 degree tilt on the axis could cause the same effects, check it out.

and yes dinosaurs where real, i own one, a turtle!
