I'd recommend the Oakton brand, just about anything they have. You can pick up their Ultra Basic pH meter for around $70-80 online or in-person.
I personally wouldn't buy a combination (pH and EC) meter because they tend to have more problems, expire quicker, and require more frequent calibration to maintain accuracy.
I also would tell you that I will not buy anything from Hanna. They have awesome super-high end pieces, but anything you would want from them would be worthless (in my opinion).
Notice how every paragraph begins with an 'I'? They're all opinion, so don't take it to heart.

Digital PH tester what should i get?
Since opinions count (
) I just bought something off amazon.com called and Extech ph meter and I'm in love with it. Easy to calibrate.....stays calibrated and is very waterproof. I paid $90 for it's actually become more my favorite than the expensive Truncheon I use as well.

I have a Milwaukee. It's a good meter. About $70.
I'll join those who say stay away from the inexpensive Hanna meters - they're junk.

I will also vouch for Hanna sucking. I got their $59 meter (the Champ) and went through two within 2 months. It goes out by .3 about every day, and even if you calibrate it every day, it will get to the point where the screw will not turn down and you will never get a true reading. I switched to a TriMeter constant read and its great.
