Is this about right?

Hey all,

Well I have built a one foot square box and have kittied it out with four CFLs, total wattage is 57 watts. As it's a small space and only one plant will be growing in it, I will be flowering 12/12 from seed. I have taken 120 days from seed to harvest and an electric calculator says it will cost about £8/($16 equivalent I think) in total to run these light for that amout of time, does that sound right?

Also I am only germination a single seed, and I did the tissue seed germination method at 12am on the 11th, which makes that 71 hours, but no sign of any tap roots yet so I am getting anxious.. I also I left it wrapped in a towel on the radiatior for about an hour this morning until I realised the tin was pretty hot, I'm wondring if I could have 'cooked' the bean already.. what do you think?

1 once of budd 1 whole plant or one joint? :wtf:
hehe, I'm not a heavy toker, the last time I smoked budd was in 2006 and I am using the bagseeds from that smoke (very strong smoke it was too )! I am scrogging the one by one foot area and as well as growing a few budds, it's also an experiment and gaining experience in growing, I am aiming for 10 grams of budd for this grow.

I would not even attempt the project...The end result will be very disappointing! That's like growing inside a rubik's cube.. Try for a larger space.

Large indoor grow = $$ on electricity and cannabis odors pouring from your house.. that's asking to be busted but each to their own. my main grow will be outdoors and not on my own property.

You can do alot of things to get a larger scale grow finished without worries of odors. The return is well worth the efforts!

i have a tiny ass grow box im usin right now too. what do you mean by 12/12 from seed? will that stimulate flowering before it even gets through vegetative? cause im just going into vegetative now and im wonderin if it'd be a good idea for me to do that too so i dont end up with a plant too big for my box.

Going off the micro grows I've seen, most growers grow 12/12 from seed, too much veg and you'll run out of space.

edit - 12/12 from seed cuts out veg stage btw.

What if you have males? You have ruined all the effort... I do understand the 12/12 procedure. It just did'nt set to well in a 12 inch x 12 inch space...

A plant shows it's sex two weeks into the flowering stage, so if plant does turn to be a male it's only all of two weeks worth of effort.

You seem to be very against this small grow space, really a square foot of space is larger than you imagine, and as I say 10 grams will last me ages.

Just out of interest, apart from a sea of green set up, where else would you grow 12/12 from seed (?) this suggests a small grow space to me. :wtf:
