Isn't Lowrider an autoflowering strain? If that's the case, just get it as big as possible in veg, then when it shows its preflowers, start giving it flowering nutrients and get ready to turn your lights back to 12/12.

I knew that a normal photoperiod wouldn't affect when it flowers, but you're saying it'll still flower properly under an 18/6 or 24/0 lighting schedule?

What an alien concept! Sorry, I'm clueless about any strain that flowers itself without any input from the grower. I think I'd prefer to have more control over the life cycles of the plant, but I guess it would be a great strain for growers with specific needs.

Well, pardon my Lowrider ignorance. Now I know!

lowryder #2 DOES NOT DO BETTER ON 24/0... 18/6 all the way throught, my plants average 1/4 inch of growth during lighting and 1/2 inch in the dark period, has been slowing down slightly now that i'm in week six. this is NOT STRETCHING either. it is best to give them a break from light..

I agree with the above post. I was keeping my LR2's on 24/0 through their 6th flowering week then decided to go 18/6. Now it may be my imagination but I'm fairly confident I've detected a substantial increase in trichomes and flower density since I gave them some rest. Also I'm growing in my garage and the nights were getting down in the 40's and 50's. Adding some daytime and early evening warmth via 1 60watt incadescent bulb really sped them up... that part can't be my imagination cause I'm growing under flouros and you know how slow that can be. Good Luck:thumbsup:
