Yes, hydro = hydroponics in weed forums (at least for me).

I didn't mean "wavelength bulbs", I don't think there is such a thing. "Proper wavelength" referes to the proper color. Bluish for vegging and reddish for budding. Color is determined by a temperature scale in Kelvin. So vegging bulbs are around 5700K and budding bulbs are around 2400K. Ask for them by name (eh, actually by number). I prefer a screen for most grows, but especially ones that are tight on space. It helps you fill buds into every area where the light is hitting the strongest, instead of letting them have a free for all and not use the light dispersal pattern efficiently.
