Some fluorescent info
I got the plant and aquarium fluoros by GE and thought their performance was pretty suckie, at least for vegging. Turns out they are more for budding instead of vegging. They don't list a color temp on the package, and so I looked it up.
I mixed Daylight with Sunlight bulbs, and the plants are vegging much better and faster. I put a Daylight in one side of a fixture (6500K) and a Sunlight in the other side (5000K), with hopes of seeing which the plants grow toward the most. After a couple weeks I can't tell a difference.
The Chroma 50 on the package referes to the Sunlight one. Notice the Plant and Aquarium ones have much less wasted light in the green spectrums, and a little more in the red. They also have less spikes in the blue and red, but more of a full spectrum. Should be good for budding. Also note that for some reason the scale for the Daylight and Sunlight is half as high as the one for Plant and Aquarium.Opie Yutts Reviewed by Opie Yutts on . Some fluorescent info
No, not the shape of the spectrum graph, but the actual shape of the light as it appears to a meter.
