    Drying & curing

Finally...my baby is finished....I pulled her up on Saturday and started the drying process....The buds were bursting with resin....Know i've read allot of articals on web sites for drying and curing and they all mention glass jar's for curing....I dont have any of them and was wondering if a large biscuit tin will do the job.....Any ideas would be great...

Also, thanks for all your help with the problems i had during my first and definatly NOT my last grow....

Airtight glass jars (Mason Jars) are good for storage and curing. If the tin is close to air tight, it should work fine. Remember to dry it first. It will probable sweat in an air tight container so you will need to open it for an hour or two every day until it stops sweating. A slow dry will make the potency great. If the buds are pretty wet, watch for mold. For long storage, I use air tight Mason Jars and keep it dark and cool...

The glass jar method would be the best bet. It is recommended because, when the buds are finally put in jar (after all the other procedures) the buds are forced to sweat out any moisture that they still may contain. With a glass jar, you will see water droplets form on the sides of the jar. When water droplets can no longer be seen on the sides of the jar, your bud is completely dry. Plus, glass jars do not absorb moisture.

The point of curing is to dry the bud slow is possible, with out the bud molding. This will create a smoother smoke. If the bud is dried to fast, it will result in a harsh smoke.

it all depends on the strain and the quality of ur grow...the more thc the longer u should have to dry it.---some kinds are dry in 2 days.
