I've never heard of tomorite, so I looked it up (it's a tomato food) and the NPK is not correct for a flowering cannabis plant.
The Nitrogen value is 4, and high N in flower is one of the primary causes of a poor calyx-to-leaf ratio, which you have in that plant.
The other common one is a light leak.
The last possible contributing factor to that 'dreadlocking' that you are seeing is high temperature.
The deep green color, scorched tips, and leaf shape all point to Nitrogen overdose as a very strong possibility.
stinkyattic Reviewed by stinkyattic on . New shoots on mature buds!?? Hey peoples, I'm on my second ever grow and am 6 1/2 weeks into flower, everything seemed to be going really well until a few days ago when I noticed that there were new shoots growing through the buds, not new buds but actual shoots :wtf: I'm getting a lil scared as I'm still pretty new to this and started flushing today so I can crop as quick as possible! Is this normal?? Do I leave her another couple of weeks as I was planning or do I give her the chop?? She's been grown under 400w Rating: 5
