The national Democratic party voted to strip Michigan of it's delegates as a penalty for scheduling it's primary in mid January. Hillary is the only major candidate who did not remove her name from the ballot --- Obama and Edwards are not on the ballot.

Now I hear that some Michigan Democratic leaders are asking Obama and Edwards supporters to still cast a bollot and vote for "Uncommitted." If enough voters in a district vote for "Uncommitted" then delegates not committed to Hillary might still be able to go to the convention and support Obama or Edwards. If no delegates from Michigan will be seated at the convention, I don't really get how this works, but I guess there is still some question whether Michigan will really be out or not.

Anyway, if I had to rank the Deocratic winners in Michigan right now, I would say:

1) Hillary
2) Uncommitted

That may be the easiest one to call so far!

On the Republican side, I would say Romney has a leg up because he was born there, and his father did well in politics there. And then Huckabee has some advantage in the number of evangelicals, so:

1) Romney
2) Huckabee
3) McCain
