its used as a cough supressent in low doses, in high doses it is a disaccociative drug like special k and pcp. the trip entirely depnds on dose. low doses feel like your high and drunk at the same time without the negative after effects of alcohol, high doses gives a very wierd experience you enter a dream like state and everything associates together (like the color blue some how relates to scooby doo, weird ass shit), you may also feel like your bodys there but your head is somewhere else it provides a out of body experience. dxm is most often abused when its in cough medicine. any cough medicine with only dxm (dextromethorphan or dextromethorpham hbr) is relatively safe to trip on. doses to trip on run from 300mg - 2000mg. (id suggest going nowhere as high as 2000mg cause thats reaching leathal dose).
