germination problems

Hi all, i have 2 seeds im trying to germinate but im not having any joy as of yet...i am using the paper towel method, they are placed inbeetween 2 moist paper towels-in a plastic container wrapped in a pillow case and sitting ontop of some airvents to my reciever box.

they have been there for just shy of 72 hours now..no roots have sprouted, but they do seem to have changed coulor to a darker shade. am i doing anything wrong? i have been reading the stickies and read some strains can take upto 2 weeks to pop so im not getting worried just yet.

my question is-would it be an idea to transfer these seeds to small pots and just wait till they sprout? i check them a few times a day atm and each time they get stuck to the paper towels and disturbed-but as nothing has sprouted im hoping this is ok.

what is the procedure for preparing soil for seeds? i have fresh soil strait from a basic growbag-it might not be ideal but its whati have to work with. i am wondering how much to water the soil so its ready for the seed-i have read over watering a seed is the number 1 reason for killing it so id like to try and get this right

I use the same method, minus the pillow case and put in a cupboard above a fridge. Temps are not too warm, but cozy and stable. For me, if it hasn't shown a taproot after 36 hours the seed is a dud. I can't see any strain taking 2 weeks to crack using this method. I could be wrong but in my experience it happens quite quickly. If I wait an extra 12 hours the taproot is so long it is difficult to transplant.
Make sure the paper towels remain moist - sometimes I have to sprinkle a little more water on.

If you are sure the seeds are good, maybe the receiver gets too hot. Is it on all the time? Does the temp fluctuate hot and cold; for example, if you turn it off? If so, stabilize your temperatures, just slightly above room temperature is good enough.
