If they're cheap, they're cheap for a reason. I wouldn't trust security to a cheap ass ionizer. Usually good venting removes enough odor that for me it wasn't a problem but some strains are stinky. I think that carbon scrubbers are all the rage now, I've also heard good things about the vaportek4000. But the vaportek is like 160 dollars and the replacements are kinda expensive as well (50 bucks) but I heard they work really well. Carbon scrubbers only really work if the area is sealed off.
