Topped plant ?
I topped my plant the other day... she's 2 months old and still vegging (space restrictions) ... the top of the plant where i cut has gone a blackish color....
Is this normal or is she Foooooooked ?

It should be fine. It will eventually dry out and just be dead and brown.

haha wait a minute... r u saying that irish daves plant is going to sucessfully split... or just the top black part will be brown.... or his whole plant is going to die???

hey irishdave.. well this may or may not help you.. i toped mine at about a month and a day or so. when i topped my i had purple oozing outta it. it turn a brown about 2 or 3 days or so.. its fine.. its just the color of the sap inside your plant

It's fine, the node below the split will be the prime growth from now on and pretty soon you won't see the cut at all beneath all the great new foliage.

You can see that the new growth is healthy, which indicates that the plant is not in immediate danger of dying.
Next time you top a plant, leave about an inch of main stem above the node where you want new growth, and CLIP IT SHUT tightly with a notebook or laundry clip to prevent pathogens from entering the hollow stem.
