Saw the Captain at Town Hall in NYC, 1973 & 74.

He got heckled a bit during the 1974 show. New York audiences are tough, and some members of the audience thought that he wasn't playing particularly well that night. A guy in a front row was giving him the finger, and he responded by saying, "You can do this (raising his middle finger), but can you do this?", breaking into a strong blues harp solo.

Some of his stuff is amazing. Many of his albums have been reissued on CD, and are usually reasonably priced.
