The best bit about using playing cards is when you roach the ace of spades, and you can see it through the rolling paper.

And for rolling...theres a hell of a lot of videos online, just watch one, slow it down if you must, and you will learn. Good that you bother to go through the frustration of it, because you won't learn if you don't keep practicing.
    Good luck.
you're right...and the tab from the side of the pack is almost always the perfect size for a snug-fit inside the joint...i use them all the time or if i'm out, then i will just use a piece from a packet of papers.

rolling is simple, man whether it's joints, blunts or mini-cigars of course you cannot feel so confident until you've done it a few times. after that you'll begin to notice yourself experimenting with your technique and then you'll be gravy. i took rolling to another level--the competitive level. my friends and i would sit down to see who could roll the best joints or blunts, we didn't judge them afterwards but it was a clever way to learn to roll.

Rolling competitively is definitely the best way to learn! I used to do that with a mate of mine and rate them out of 5 stars. We'd start off making 2* J's, but after a few weeks, we'd constantly craft 4* or 5*. I've just realised how sad that sounds. But anyway, it's a good way to learn.
