*Sigh* I Remember When...

I remember the first time I smoked Thai Buddha, 1980. I spent two hours with my head down a toilet bowl throwing up. That's when I learned the difference between ODing on alcohol and ODing on Cannabis. With alcohol at least you are relatively sober when you finish with the big white telephone, with the Thai I was still wrecked and had to be carried home. I was rather a young novice at the time.

I remember sticking to black hash after that experience, until I was in a share house and one of the guys (T) had budgies that used to free range. T was always dropping little bits of hash when he made a mix... amazing how similar a little bit of hash is to a budgie turd. He often found more hash than he had dropped... I expect we smoked a fair amount of budgie shit before yellow hash became available.

It doesn't look like budgie shit at all.

I used remember heaps, but I had 12 sessions of Unipolar Electro Convulsive Therapy in 2002 and now there are some significant gaps.

I remember when people thought $1.00 was an outrageous gas price

I remember how life was before all of my close friends went their seperate ways.
I remember the first time I ever smoked green out of a green pipe in my friends back patio.
I remember the first time I ever rolled my own blunt...boy was it ugly but sure did hit good.
I remember the last time I smoked green. (coming up on two years ago)
I remember when my brain felt like it was ripping itself apart from looking at the fireworks on July 4th only a few days after taking too many tabs in one night.
I remember the feeling I had to have finally kissed the girl of my dreams and then a matter of hours later to have that feeling ripped from me.

I could go on for days of some damn good memories and definetly some bad ones.

I remember the thrill of stepping into the ring for the first serious Thai boxing match.
I remember the thrill of crossing borders with large amounts of green.
I remember how much fun the autobahn was.
I remember the day I got my medical discharge from the army and how disappointed I was.

I remember when it was the drivers and passangers choice weather to wear seatbelts or not.

I remember when diesel and petrol was cheap. I used to be able to full up the old triumph for a fiver! Fucking try that these days!

But when you concidering a pint of beer cost about 2.50 - and thats cheap, closer to 3 quid in the bars - it works out to be quite cheap per litre. I'm glad my motor runs on diesel instead of beer!

That must've been a while ago, because I remember when I moved to Virginia and was blown away by the cheap 99 cents/gallon gas prices.
