    Regarding this setup:
Grow Marijuana FAQ, Cannabis cultivation - marijuana growing tips & photos

I've built this arrangement but the water does not drain completely out. I have about 1/4 left in the resovoir. I'm worried about alge or anything negative like root rot. Do you think I'l be ok?

    Thanks.

It should be fine. That is the nature of most systems. Mine is like that. It is very difficult to drill a hole right at the bottom and still be able to get a seal with a grommet or O-ring. Most drain holes are up at least 1/4 inch so they can still be sealed with a grommet. Just flush occasionally, maybe every two or three weeks, and you shouldn't have to worry about anything.
