And you are right on about the ignorance, I'll admit myself I had no idea what a gorgeous city it is and all the activities you can do there. It's the combination of personal freedom, and cultural heritage is what makes Amsterdam so beautiful. It's a city like no other, and in some ways, the city being synonymous with drugs and prostitution has tarnished it's image. I enjoyed looking at the art of Vermeer much more than getting stoned in a coffeeshop. If getting stoned would be one's sole goal of going to Amsterdam, you are better off saving your money to stay home and get stoned.

That's partly why I made this post, to show Amsterdam is so much more.
