Actually Mr. Chinnery your describing a hypothesis. There is no "law" of anything , ie: the "theory" of gravity, the "theory" of electricity, the "theory" of thermodynamics. When used in a description towards a layman is the only time a scientist will use the term "law", ie: the "laws" of physics the "laws" of mathematics etc etc. At no time will you ever find a scientific study that refers to the "law" of anything(when its proposed to the international college of science). Its a term used simply to explain the reproducable effects to a layman. Just thought you'de like to know, I could care less what people believe in what religion or what(as to this arguement). But I majored in Evolutionary Biology and guess what its a "theory" just like gravity ....If you dont believe in it feel free to stop believing in gravity (you still won't float off the earth trust me). Hope you get the point.....
P.s Dont be offended I just don't like it when people misquote science or twist it to their "view". Empirical evidence is what should guide anything...Without it , we have nothing but guessing....(please dont quote websters either, take a class in "Scientific Method" instead, dictionaries are the worst thing to pull a scientific definition out of).

I hope there is a god.Im not sure myself.I do say prayers every night for everyone i love ive been doing it since i was little and i still do it must be a habit cause i had to.But never went to church only for a wedding or funeral. So if there is a god i really hope he listens to me and answers my prayers.Good luck to anyone that believes or dosent as long as i dont have to listen to it.

I'm one of the least religious person you'll ever meet. Although i haven't taken the time to do research in the different religions, i think it's a waste of my time. I'm a firm believer in extraterrestrial life. And i have nothing against someone that is religious. That's their choice. People have so many different religions because that is in part being free. You are aloud to express your freedom by picking the religioun suites you. And by critizing someone's faith, you're taking away their natural born freedom. But i will say, i don't enjoy the visits by people who try to convert you. When they start going around door-to-door trying to get people to join their religion, or church, or congregation or WHATEVER, then i get annoyed.

i work in advertising for a hardware company and we made a commercial for lawncare products that had a guy mowing his yard that was all dusty and full of rocks and weeds.anyway,we had two mormons walking down the street going house to house as they do and one of the rocks shot out from the lawnmower and nailed the guy in the face.it was REALLY funny.however when we put it to a focus group people thought it was mean and we had to pull it.

Why don't we decide on this. Don't label people as atheists and don't label them as christians. call them by their name. If someone is posting insulting comments who happens to be an atheist don't drag the rest of us down by generalizing. We atheists have a strong belief and like other religious people can get heated in conversations. U must also realize that to be an atheist is to go against a huge majority of the world in your beliefs. That is where the anger can come from.
Just don't label people by the "crew" they are in. Some people who happen to be Christian such as Torog in my opinion attack anyone with different beliefs from them. A way they do it is by calling homosexuals amoral. Now it awesome for religion to be used spiritually, but come on. this is society. and we non-religious people don't want people to be labeled by using religion as a guideline.
