I dont know. The people who DO believe in God never insult or making hundrends of threads on why you should believe in God, but the people who don't believe in God are CONSTANTLY posting about how there isnt any evidence of a God or that having faith is ignorant, which pissed me off. You guys says you dont want God stuffed down you're throat. Well us, the people who do believe in God dont want reasons why there isnt a God. Simply we dont want it stuffed down our throats. I am getting sick of posting why I believe in God, only to be called ignorant or something. Fact is that as on Now there is NO evidence of the creationism theory or the Evolution Theory. Believe what you want to believe people, just don't throw insults around

I love this forum. It's my favborite place to look up things and get ideas from. I've cut back in my posting because no matter what thread I post in there's someone always trying to insult me or make a wise crack about my faith. I did what I came to do here and handled the insults as best as my mood would allow. So now when people start to insult me and my faith I just avoid it cause it truly isn't worth the time. People like that most of the time don't even know why they hate people of faith. I know one day they will look back at it and think "What an ass I was" but until then screw it. Mature people know who the Bigger Man or Women are. Not to mention it really only makes them look bad not people of faith and tolerance.

Your right we do insult at times. I've insulted a few people here myself. Of course that doesn't even compare to the many insults I've recieved from people. The way XTC should have said it is:

"The people who DO believe in God insult only after they have been bashed so many times by the same person they have to drop to their level so that way the inital insulter would shut the fuck up and talk topics not insults."

At least thats the way I would have put it. And as you most likely know it works. Example: Larry.

i get insulted for being atheist/agnostic all the time.. the insult most commonly used towards me is 'sinner'.

I see your point but I don't see your point. If you don't believe is sin then I would agree that it's an insult. If you do believe in sin then I can't see how it's an insult. If someone calls you a sinner Ghost just say

"What Bitch and your not!"

That should shut them up. In the Christian belief system everyone sins. So no one has the right to call another a sinner cause in our eyes everyone is a sinner. Christians are some of the worst one cause they hide behind things like "I go to church" "I believe in God" "I don't sin like that" in my opinion Christians are our own worst enemies. We set bad examples for others cause most of the time we are hypocritical.

Can people STOP saying this? You know, people can have faith all they want, and I don't judge someone on whether they're religious or not. My father's a really religios man, yet I respect him and get along with him just fine. However, to say that there's no proof for evolution is dumb, and implies that you don't WANT to see the proof. Believe me, pick up a book and find out for yourself.

Notice the change to this thread. XTC is saying believe what you want to believe and others are still raming their beleifs down his (because I believe as XTC) my throats.

Fact is no matter what book you look in it is not a fact. No matter what book we look into God can not be proven it is faith. You read what he wrote and still you attack how bright is that you prove XTC's case with out him having to rebutle anything you say.

As a non Christian, I think a lot of the times we ask where the proof is because we would like to have faith but have a hard time believing in something that is not backed up by scientific fact. That said, a lot of ppl with a faith believe in it because of their own personal reasons that just cannot be proven in a conventional way. I don't believe anyone believes anything because it is forced on them by other religious ppl. Those who grow up within strict religious families often stop practicing the religion of their parents. We make up our own minds and live how we choose.

I think a lot of Christians speak out so much about their faith because they are honestly content with life and just want to share it. They just want to help others that seem lost. The trouble starts with ppl who twist Christianity around and try to force their judgement or corrupt ways, they get the most publicity and ppl start thinking all Christians are crazy, right-wing wackos.

Ask yourself what you believe in and what you have faith in. Then ask yourself why. My answers to those questions can't be explained or proven, and may even seem silly to some ppl but they are what I believe in and I think that most ppl can respect that. I don't think anyone who asks for proof does it with malicious intent.
