A little help please(first time)

Unfortunately I don't have the soil problem (with the bugs) but the spray I use I use on the plant itself. Hopefully someone around here that grows in soil can answer your question about that one.

I have changed alot in my grow room I now have over 150watts going until I get those 6-pack of CFL's heh tbh I first started my plants out growing hydro but it was to difficult then somehow someway early on one of them "seperated" from the roots or some weird crap anyway I cut it replanted it a few days it came back to life(shes lagging a little behind the problem maker) but I mean shes growing good and fine the problem maker is doing exactly its name causing many problems im just starting to figure ill actually just do a little experimenting for future intelligence and get a couple packs of seeds later down the road bright side is I payed nothing for these --- Cons: It was a damn good batch of green 1hit and your buzzed. So im hoping to still pull them through and I probably won't giveup unless they magically fall over and die. I'll post some pictures later for a visual reference I seem to be having troubles loading them on my computer.

First off I think you are way over watering let them dry out Knats need a water source and that is currently the top of your soil, I suggest finding an organic pestaside like fox farm and lightly spray the top of your soil creating a barrier between moist soil and the knats. Spray the plants as well, then do not water again untill the bucket feels light.
As for your soil with wood in it that is ok just keep an eye on your ph it has a tendancy to rise as the wood breaks down.

I think I have the facts right.
2 liters of water every other day.
2 plants in 1 - 5 gallon buckets.
No nutes used yet.
Plants around 6'' tall.
No LST or topping during grow.
Knat infestation.

To answer your question your soil is probably saturated currently. Lift the bucket and note the weight. When the bucket weighs 50% less it is time to water. This will be close to 7 days judging by your plant size.

The slow growth is due to low light, you have solved that with 6 cfls

Your plants are stressed so hold off on nutes till you get them growing and healthy again.

When you get them growing again consider performing LST. read up on it in the FAQ section you have a little time before starting it.

You have about a week or more before starting it.

My "problem maker" has 3 nodes should I still start it in a week or wait a little?

Yes get them healty first no stress what so ever for a week.
You just need to spray them lightly with an organic pesticide and just watch them grow for a week that's it, unless things get worse, then post immeadiatly with the symptoms.

Keep updating, your plants may respond quickly to the new lighting.
