VERY sick plant, too much effort to let die!
ok, so i haven't posted in awhile, but my grow was going well and i simply didn't need any advice, nor did i deem myself qualified enough to give any, so i just kinda faded out.
but to the problem at hand, my plant. it was only a few weeks into flowering, lights on a timer (12/12) flowering fert, everything. when, in a matter of about 36 hours, my plant took a drastic turn for the worse, and i'm afraid of making things worse and destroying the only plant i've got left and having to start over again hoping to get another female out of my seeds. (last/this crop yielded 1 female and 2 males) as i said, in about 36 hours my plant went from healthy to obscenely sickly looking, many of the leaves dried completely and fell off, and nearly all that remain look very dry and sick. i can think of only a few things that could have caused this: shortly before this happened, i left my window open most of the night (hey, rockin out on the drums in Rock Band makes you sweaty) after failing to close it all the way before leaving, when i returned it was VERY cold in my room, including the closet where the plant grows. the only other thing i could think of was over fertilizing the plant. in accordance with that idea i've been giving it only water the past three days, but i wasn't sure if it was possible i wasn't giving it ENOUGH fert and didnt' want to continue doing damage to my plant if that was the case. here's a pic of my death's door plant for you all to see the level of damage. please, if any of you can think of ANYTHING that might bring this little girl back, no matter how slim the chance, please tell me.GeddaLiddleHI Reviewed by GeddaLiddleHI on . I know you don't want to hear this, but that plant is a lost cause. Even if somehow you revived it, it wouldn't be worth growing any more. It's so stressed it would possibly turn hermaphroditic and even if it was female, I don't think it would produce much.
If anything, try taking the growing tips as cuttings and see if you can root them. If you can, you could possibly grow them into producing plants.

FYI for the future, get rid of that aluminum foil and just paint your closet walls flat white.

I also dont think it had much to do with the cold - all that'd do is start to turn it purple and stunt growth slightly, not do all that to the leaves. Then again, i supose it depends HOW cold eh.
Goodluck, and sorry.

yeah, it's dead. great only female i got out of that effort and several months of work. sssssuper. i also figured out what killed it: my cat. let me explain...no, there is too much, let me sum up.
aaanyway, my cat's kind of a pothead, comes running whenever she smells bud. i caught her trying to get into my closet several times, and one time noticed she had pissed on the floor when she did get in. i didnt' think she'd gotten my plant, but further inspection...well, she did.
i hate cats, i wanted a dog damnit.Everything posted is reposted from other places, hypothetical, or for entertainment only.

That's wasn't your cat.....you killed it by overferting.
For goodness sakes.....start reading on how to grow before you plant another poor seed and blame the results on your animals.

I see in the picture you have a gas inlet valve for a hot water heater or something. Carbon dioxide is heavier than air. Just the carbon dioxide release from the pilot light may have been enough to kill your plant. I'm betting its sick from loss of oxygen. Move your plant away from carbon dioxide, give it lots of oxygen with help from a fan and water sparingly and get a spray bottle of clean water and spray it a couple times a day. It looks pretty bad but it might come back. I think I would also put it back into veg cycle 18/6.
Also get that gas line checked to make sure you don't have a gas leak.Natural gas is heavier than air too so could have been the problem.

But too much carbon dioxide will kill them. The roots aern't going to be able to get any oxygen if there is none available.
