How much space do you have between each pot/net? Maybe you should consider giving LST (low stress training) a shot, before getting your plants hammered on Grey Goose. If you have the space, that is.

Plants grow towards light, there's pretty much no stopping that. You could top the plants and get more side growth, but if you're not dealing with horizontal space issues, then I'd still go with LST.

There's a product called 'bushmaster' that will keep your plants short. Do not add ethanol to your reservoir.
Most growers just pinch their growing tips. And the light from a MH (blue) will help keep internodes short.

Stunting and limiting vertical growth are quite different; stunting is undesirable. You want a normally-proportioned and healthy plant that simply has had the apical dominance broken by pinching the top or bending it to a level below other nodes so that the distribution of auxins changes.

Use the bushmaster like Stinky says.
