Quick Fix vs. Dr. John's Synthetic?

I have Dr. Johns "Famous Pee Pee". Is that still considered a valid synthetic for subbing or should I be using QF? Can you buy QF w/o the bottle and stuff? I have a urinator. Thanks in advance!

I'm on Day 18 of not smoking but I took a home test last night and I'm still showing as positive. 3-5x per day for years, mids to high end smoke, 5'7", 149 lbs, approximately 16% body fat and feel I have a fairly high metabolism.

I'm exercising, eating high fiber, etc, etc. I still have an additional 1-2 weeks before I need to get my test done (Pre-employment) but I want to be ready just in case I need to go the sub route.

How do you want them to sell it to you, pouring it in your hands and you run home with it? Go to a store that sells it and they fill the urinator up like a propane tank refill? LOL, j/k, I imagine you don't want to pass for the extra expense of the squeeze nozzle on the top of the bottle but surely that can't add too much to the cost and what they charge. Obviously QF is far and away the most popular brand out there and on this board. I have seen Dr. Johns used about 5 times in the past 1 & 1/2 on this board and have heard no complaints or failures. I forgot, is it pre mixed or powder you must mix and then is only good for x amount of time?

Yeah...I get what you are saying. Might as well spend the money and get the whole thing..

Dr. Johns is concentrated liquid...mix w/ 2-3 ounces of water and away you go...which from your previous posts, seems a better route than the powdered variety.

I'm a little more inclined to use the urinator as I am going to have do drive 40+ min. to the testing site and then sit for who knows how long so I'd rather swap a fresh set of batteries when I get near the testing site then have to worry about a fresh heat pad overheating the sample...

But I will test w/ the QF as well and see if I can get some consistent results as I'd rather have a small bottle crotched than the larger urinator setup strapped to my leg w/ an ace bandage. Thanks for the reply.

In my experience with QF if you heat it up to the upper level,100 it will stay in range for about 3 or 4 hours if you stick it behind your nut sack. Also the heating pad that comes with it is a little slow so I picked up some heating pads from the dollar store and they will heat it in about 5 to 10 minutes.

Just ordered QF 4.0. Are you saying without a heating pad it stays in that range or nutsack + heat pad? I know I need to test and figure out what works but just wanted to be sure I understand how others are doing it.

I will be able to microwave before leaving for the test so should I save the included heat pad and test with the dollar store variety?

Thats without the heating pad that comes with QF. Just nuke it to 100 and stickit behind your nut sack. Wear tight undies to keep it in place. It has a thermometer strip right on it so you can monitor it. The heating pads are a 1 time use only. If you have a problem keeping it up to temp during practice use the pad on test day. If it gets too warm you can always blow on it when you put it in the test cup. If its a little cool rub your thumb against your pants briskly and hold your thumb against the temp strip.

People freak out about the whole getting the temp right but it is rather easy. Some people use the heating pads while other never ever use the heating pads once. Your body gives off an incredible amount of heat you just don't realize it because that's our normal temperature and we are used to it. Even in the winter it is possible to do the trick without pads or the whizzinator or urinator. Practice, practice, practice. The goal is not to slow down heat loss after getting the urine up to temperature but to keep it at body temperature for indefinite periods of time while staying comfortable. If you can't do it naturally, then add heat pads, batteries, and pray.
