If you really are to poor to buy a $20 timer...... maybe this is the wrong "hobby" for you. I made a decision grow. I didn't grow until I could buy the correct/safe parts to do it. One other thing I would like to point out to "poor" growers, what if you get caught?? I put aside a pretty sizeable amount of money to pay for lawyer frees and lost time at work if I get busted. Something to think about.
Oh, one other thing more on the topic. Turn your heat way down. If your house is pretty cold(~45F), the plants will slow their use of water/nutes.\"Keepin\' it legal\"

One more thing, on the cheap. You don't "need" a pump, gravity has never failed..... remember gravity?? Water tub on a stand, with a drip line glued in the bottom. $10 tops.

i think ill go with the wick system or your 'gravity drip' seems like it would work well. as far as money im saving for a small hps right now, so im fine with going ghetto on things. ( i am a 'strapped college student')
for the timer, is it just like an outlet timer or what?
thanks for feedback

well shes about 3-4 weeks from harvest and starting to fill out quite nice. i have taken 5 clones and a small branch broke about a week ago, so im trying to save it. i have 3 42w 27k, plus 2 26 watters, one 65k and one 27k. the main cola is pretty dense but i think it might have hermied from light leaks.
PLEASE FUCKING READ AND HELP
i plucked two possible bananas(more so they ripped and they had little strands in them, so maybe calyxes??) and now i see more on the cola. the lower branches are just starting to get real resinous and the hairs forming true buds. i looked at some of the buds and they have these little 'spikes' with 2 hairs popping out like the ones i ripped from the main cola.
im hoping im just overreacting to the calyxes but i know it could easily be hermie. need some help friends PLEASE
