    FIRST GROW HELP ME PLEASE!!

I have a normal size basement that I will choose to start my grow in.I currently own a 1000hps and 2x600's.I just need advice on what should I do to keep the temps down.Should I go ac or FANS? If I go fans how many cfm fans will I need?

my thought is between those lights and ac, you have a BIG electric bill. my thought is fans will be best, but ac will also keep the humidity down, but you can alawys get a dehumidifier, but anyway you need to be a little more specific with the size L x W

if it were say 50FT X 30 FT (i dont know where you live, a normal size basment to you maby be very different to me. so just for an example) you would need roughly 14500 CFM

I won't be running anything in the house except for the grow lights. So I won't be worried that much about the electric bill.

yea but my first light was very small in comparison 400w hps, and put a nice $12 (when flowering at 12/12) a month on my bill, and that was only a 400w your running a total of 2200w

but also must keep in mind that my electric comp. has the highest prices in the u.s.

From my experience basements are generally damp add in the heat of the HPS lights your on about and you are certainly going to want to vent that air. The link OJB posted seems to be a good way to work out the size/amount of fans you need.

this is very true and, i have mold problems because of this im my basment (not the hps the dampness) so many people have mold problems in basments due to the dampness so some dehumidifiers are prob a good thing to invest in or later you'll end of with a tainted crop

Agreed the damp can cause way more issues than just airborne humidity. Also might want to consider incoming fans to bring in fresh cool air from outside. I'm guilty of being lax on my extraction equipment up til now so will let some others give you the full spec on what you might require tasermebro.
