Looks like that would work fine, but I'm not sure. The waxy thing has me a little worried. If you put too much wax on your leaves they cannot use their stomata and will die.

For the ultimate in price, you can make your own with liquid dish soap. I'm not sure how this is done but I think you just add something like 1/2 tsp per gal. It supposedly works quite well. If you're interested, you ought to run it through a couple search engines. The best one by far is Ixquick Metasearch. Best darn phone book I've ever used too.

If you consider something like SM50, or 423 EMS, or H2DS, or some short name with capitol letters and maybe a couple numbers, it is not as inexpensive as it seems. Keep in mind that all surfactants (wetting agents) are diluted at different strengths. That one that I can't remember the name of is made by mixing 5 parts solution to 1 part agent. Not nearly as inexpensive as initially perceived. I pointed that out after the hydro guy recommended it as a low cost alternative to Penetrator. He said, Oh I guess that's why we don't sell much of that.
