    cloning and lights for budding

hey whats up.. well this is my 3 season growing indoors. i have just regular bag seed that i got from some really good mids. well i want to clone it before i put it in 12/12. i already sexed it and its female. i went to a bunch of stores to look for root tone but couldnt find any. so i got told that if i just throw my cutting in water it will root. is this true? well my second question is for lights for my budding plants im soon to flowering stage. im using 400 watt MH blubs for my budded plants and i was wondering if thats good for budding.. i know HPS is the way to go.. but i cant really afford it right now. thanks for you time.. ill post some new pics of my crops.. quite nice and have a tinge of blue to them and there bagseed:jointsmile:

You can get "Green Light Rooting Hormone" at Lowe's for about $5. It's good stuff - I use it all the time. ...but you need to read up on cloning and learn how to do it.

LOL - If your first clones died, perhaps you should consider perfecting your technique. Check out this thread - it's very good info about cloning:

I strongly recommend Dip-N-Grow. It's pretty hardcore hormone + fungicide and since in my cloning troubleshooting experience, your goal is to get roots before the rot sets in, haha. Since switching to that hormone I have not had mold problems. In my signature, there is a link. In the link, there is a post giving detailed cloning instructions.
I gather that you are in southern NH. Head west into VT and get on I-91. At exit 4, get off the interstate and get on VT rt5 N into Putney village. There's a GREAT specialty gardening shop behind the laundromat on your left that sells the right sorts of fertilizers and hormones and rooting media and lights, plus everything else you could want for indoor growing.

Yeah, they are open all year, M-F 10-6 and Saturday 10-3 or so.

Cool. It's always nice to get a good plant from bag seeds. Just one more reason to hold out for good bags!
