    Floros/cloning question. please help

so i have a question. i have an NFT system that is in the 12/12 cycle now and probably has another 4-6 weeks to go. 2 weeks ago i cut some clones and they are doing awesome. they will soon be ready to put into rockwool.

so my dilema is... the NFT system is in 12/12 with all the bloom nutes. the clones will be ready soon. i plan to make a homemade ebb and flow system (anyone have better ideas on the best homemade system?) for the clones until the NFT system is done with flowering time.

the ONLY setback i have is that my clones are under a 15W cool white floros light (18 inches long) and they love the light right now. but is the 15W floros okay to use over the clones when they are in the make shift system i have?

the NFT system is under a 400W HPS light. i know that is a big difference. but want to know if the 15W cool white floros is good enough for the clones until another 4-6 weeks when they can be put under the 400W light.

    Floros/cloning question. please help

    Hello,

The 15 watt light may be able to support plant life, but the growth on the clones will be minimal, they may stretch a bit, and being under such a low level of light, the bigger leaves on the clones may yellow up and die off.

Is there any other fluoros that you can get under the lights. Can you run to Home Depot and purchase a shop light?

I think that it is a bit long to try and keep the clones under the fluoro without the addition of some more light.

    Take care

    Peace

    Floros/cloning question. please help

    Hello,

    Can you move your HPS?

You could use the HPS over the plants while your flowering ladies were in the "night" cycle. Then when it is back to lights on for the flowering ladies you can move the light back and finish the remaining veg time with the fluoro. If you are doing an 18/6 schedule then your clones will only have to rely on the fluoro for four hours a day.

    Hope this helps

    Take care

    Peace
