i've only played a 360 and i love my 360, had both ps2 and normal xbox and i think xbox was better but i reckon ps3's gonna come out with some legendary titles like killzone 2 but alot of the games 4 ps3 ud get 4 360 and i dunno the controllers looks weird for ps3 but i heard ps3 has an internet browser which sounds cool but kinda useless :wtf:

but yea im never sellin my 360 :thumbsup:

Well the PS3 is a better built console, the 360 did indeed have a reliability issue however as we all know from the PS2 era... having a faulty console doesn't mean much.

Spec wise I think its pretty clear these days that despite Sonys early claims, the PS3 isn't all that much more powerful than the 360 in what it's capable of.

360 has a far far better library than the PS3. Not to mention that it nearly all multi console titles are better on the 360.


360 is the console of choice if you are a fan of games. It's just clearly superior and that doesn't look like that will be changing anytime soon.
If you get the latest model you shouldn't have to worry about RROD either.

PS3 is a good console if you want a small taste of gaming and a Blu Ray player.

360 has more selection of games, that's it. PS3 has better graphics but it's only noticable if you have a full HD 1080p TV like I do:thumbsup: PS3 has better features, menus, internet browser which I use all the time and in 80% of the posts I make :thumbsup: and I can play every single PS1 and PS2 game I own too. My friend owns 360 and Wii and we have some of the same games. Even he admits that my PS3 is a fine hair better. I've read a lot of tech reviews that agree. My daughter prefers the computer to everything . lol which was my fav for gaming for a long time...Doom, Diablo, Battlefield 2, Oblivion, Neverwinternights 2, etc..

Totally off topic, does anyone remember Sega CD?? It didn't last long but they used live action film in their gameplay like the texas shootout game it had. I shouldn't of sold it. lol

Just giving my 2 cents

I have had both consoles for quite some time and in my honest opinion the ps3 does look better with some games and the online gaming is free. I find that the games list and the actual online experience provided by Xbox 360 does win it over for me.

Sadly some really good games are only on one system e.g GOW (Gears of war) Vs MGS (Metal Gear Solid).

But overall what did win it was the fact that the Xbox 360 can be made to play copied games by a simple drive firmware change. (Not that i would do that )

I get netflix instantly to my 360...I can rent HD movies...instantly through Xbox live...ps3 still has YEARS till its potential can be seen. By then it wont be worth shit...

The PS3 has better looking graphics...that's just a fact. I know a lot of tech people who all agree, even if they own a 360. The 360 has a bigger current selection of games but that's the only advantage I see.

I can rent games for PS3 if I wanted too. I can rent or buy HD movies on my PS3 too. I can download free game demos, game add ons, and trailers. It doesn't cost me a dime to play anything online like Xbox live. I can also play full HD blu ray movies on my PS3 plus PS1 and PS2 games, all without having to update any firmware. The 360 is basically regarded as the poor mans PS3 because it's cheaper. PS3 has plenty of awesome games with more coming out this year. Some worthy mentions... COD4(Modern Warfare2 coming later this year), COD WAW, BF2 Bad Company, WWE Legends of Wrestlemania, RB 1 & 2, Fallout 3, Oblivion, Uncharted(2nd one coming later this year), GTA IV, Far Cry 2, Tom Clancy Rainbow Six Vegas 1 & 2, God of War III, etc.

I give credit to 360 for selection of games and would be a great buy if you are worried about money or already own an Xbox. However, I challenge any 360 owner to take a game that both 360 and PS3 systems have, play them side by side on tvs that both support HD, and you will see clear as crystal the difference between PS3 and 360 and why PS3 is the champ. Call me a "fanboy" or whatever you like but I'm just stating facts and actual comparison experience. The PS3s only downside is price but you get what you pay for. Think of 360 as a joint and PS3 as a vaporizer...both will get you high but I'll spend a little extra on the vaporizer because the return reward is what makes it all worth it! lol:hippy:

i think a little more of it has to do with what type of games you are into. a lot of the games you mention are on both systems. not to mention some of the games that were supposed to be ps3 exclusives jumped shipped and continue to do it.

sony is not doing well as a company overall. i personally don't like the playstation controller. to me the 360 controller is the best one around.

you can do all of the same downloading things on the 360 that you can on the ps3. true you don't have to pay to play online, but everyone knows (including sony) that xbox live is the de facto online standard!

sony ripped out tons of features that were supposed to be in the ps3. and they still trail the 360 in sales everywhere but japan.

there is rumors of a price drop coming for the ps3.

i do like the final fantasy series, gran tursimo, god of war and a few other of the ps3 exlusives though.

When PS1 came out, I bought it. Likewise, when PS2 came out, I bought that. So it was just natural for me to get PS3. I don't know about your backwards capability claim though. My neighbor just got a PS3 about 4 months ago and it plays all their old PS2 games. Mine plays all of my PS2 and PS1 games without a problem.

As for Sony not doing well...there aren't many companies doing very well at all in these messed up economic times. I'm not surprised that 360 has sold more because it's cheaper.. I love some of the Playstation signature games like the Tomb Raider series, Final Fantasy like you mentioned, Gran Turismo, God of War, Uncharted, etc.

I'm still a sucker for some of the classics though. They released a collection of over 40 Sega games on 1 disc for PS3 with enhanced graphics/sound and I must say, it brings back some good memories. I also like to bring out the old N64 with Bond, Mario, and Zelda that gave me hours of entertainment during college lol

I agree with you though headshake, it really depends on what kind of games you're into and what your budget is.:hippy:
