My experience with subbing.

I have been smoking for 10 years. Pretty much every day 3-4 times a day. (never before/during work) and I lost my job in early December. Needless to say, I smoked quite a bit for the next two weeks until I got hired mid-December. I didn't want to start the job until Jan so I put off the drug test until then. Even after 15 days of not smoking, I still failed the home test so I ran out to the specialty shop near me to get Quick Fix. (advertised on the specialty shops website)

Unfortunately, they did not have QF. They had another product called Clear Choice Sub-Solution. So I bought it.

I practiced and practiced all day trying to get the temp right. I found out that if I started the product at 100 deg, 30 mins later it was at 98 degs. I figured that would be perfect.

15 min drive to the clinic. I checked it when I got there, 99 deg. Perfect. Went into the clinic and filled out all of the paperwork. And waited, and waited, and waited. They had me sit there for an hour before the test.

They did not check my pockets but they did make me take off my coat. I went into the bathroom and within 30 seconds the lady yells through the door - "Sir! Can you pee?" I had almost finished dumping the solution so I replied, "Yes."

I can out and waited for a few seconds for the lady to wrap up the sample. She fired up this conversation:

Lady: You look nervous.
Me: Not really, just to much caffeine today.
Lady: Oh, I see why you are nervous. (Looking at cup)
Me: Why?
Lady: Your sample is 94 deg.
Me: So?
Lady: This is not your sample.
Me: Yes it is.
Lady: I'm in a good mood today so I'm going to send it off. You are a grown man and I'll bet you have kids. You should just quit this stuff and you won't have to lie to your kids about doing drugs. I have a 37 year old son and I tell him the same thing all the time.
Me: Yeah, drugs are illegal and the government says people should not do them.
Lady: You better hope whomever gave you this is clean. I know you think I am a bitch because I'm giving you grief over this but I just wish grown men would quit doing drugs. Sign here, here, and here.
Me: (signed the paperwork)
Lady: You need to quit this stuff. Just quit it. You have a happy new year.
Me: You have a happy new year also.

I have never hear of Sub-Solution so I hope it works. It smelled really bad and did foam like urine. Anyone else use this stuff? I didn't see the lady write anything special on the package but I'm assuming since it was 94 deg she HAD to send it off. Is this correct? I don't care she gave me a hard time, I just hope I pass this thing. I'll post back in a couple of days and let everyone know.

Tip: The sticky is very correct on the temperature thing. Make sure you practice getting the temp right before you go. Also, I didn't count on sitting in the clinic so long. Make sure you are prepared to sit there for a while and keep the temp up!

Na, still dont "understand". And if a conversation like that DID really take place in a testing facility - that lady would be looking for a new job herself....almost sounds like you're trying to scare people away from the best way to pass while puffing.....

1st: Its only illegal if you get caught.

Looks like you(alledgedly) did a good job of subbing.She was probably listening to see if you pissed. I always drink a lot of fluids before I go in even if I'm subbing and piss a little in the toilet. For the nosey fuckers.

If a drug tech had talked like that to me I would have just said fuckoff.
Hopefully this stuff is as good as QF. It should be.Keep us updated.

I am not really paranoid about the test. Just read a thread where FBR was deleting posts for talking about specific illegal activities so I added the disclaimer. Yes, the conversation happened just like I posted it. Being a new poster, I didn't want to break the rules.

The questions still remain:

Did she HAVE to send the sample at 94 deg?
Has anyone used Sub-Solution?

In hind-sight, It does bother me a little she acted the way she did. Either way, I just hope I passed the test because I never would have if I didn't read this forum.

Another thing I forgot to mention:

For those of you that are like me and can not find whitey-tighties in their house anywhere. I used a pair of long-jons that I use for hunting/motorcycle riding. I put these on under my boxers and pulled them up very tight. My boxers stayed on the outside and covered up the long-jons when they ask me to pull up my shirt.

I took a UA yesterday and on the form there is a box for temperature within 4 minutes being between 90 and 100 degrees, so I think she would have to accept it.

Yes any where between 90 and 100 and she has to send it off. I had one sub where I got it a little high,it was about 100 and the tech just looked at it for a couple minutes and signed off on it.
