Ya, I know, they wrote a song about me. Well, not exactly about me, musta been that comic book guy. I am an OLD fart:hippy:. I have been getting stoned longer than many of you have been alive, old:hippy:. I was already grown when I went to Woodstock. Well, I have just encountered a case of writers block, so I guess it's time :jointsmile:. Now that I have adjusted my attitude I guess I'll continue. Used to be a drunk, NASTY drunk. Almost killed a friend because he offered me a ride home:buzz_saw:. Decided to give it up. It was a good decision, I'm still alive.:jumphappy:.

Good for you, addiction is something other addicts understand any step forward is a step in the right direction. I quite smoking cigarettes this summer, I said if I am miserable everyone who nags me to quit will be too. Its hard but now I just say to smokers- Oh is the Marlboro Red Cologne your wearing, it stinks like it. No its not that bad, I hate people who cry about a little smell that will go away.

I quit a vice, to spite others and it turned out I am happier because I did it.

Hi LUV; I quit my tobacco addiction 3 months ago. I was never addicted to alcohol, but well on my way when I quit. I am however addicted to life. I am afraid I quit too late, and the TRUE EVIL WEED might still take it away. OH, the stop sign thing. I had a friend who actualy did that:stoned:. True story.

Hi Ironman, You might want to take a peek at my "Birthday post" (link below) and check out the "Cancer- lung" section. Seems like our favorite weed does nasty things to cancer cells! Then there is the "Tobacco vs Cannabis" and the "Alcoholism" section. Take a look, you might find some interesting reading!

And I've been toking for 40 years, nice to see someone else who has "been around the block a few times". Have you been over to treatingyourself.com? It's a nice little Canadian medical site. Lots of good folks there, tends to have a slightly older age group than C.com. You might like it. - Granny

I am aware of some of the effects cannabis has on some cancers. Did you know that componds in cannabis are believed to prevent Breast Cancer from SPREADING? There is a big word for it, matastasizing, but I'm not sure of the spelling so I took the easy way out. The federal gov of the US has its' collective head shoved firmly up its' collective anus, and refuses to pull it out, even to breath. I wonder if I piled enough dollars around they might consider it?:wtf:
