God I love that area of Cal. It's like a different world. Life on or near the river can be sweet, just watching the hawks catching thermals. Sweet. I miss it!

Im in Sacramento... Oh and by the way Fresno and above are all NorCal anything south of Fresno is SoCal. And to u up North mountaineers dont try to say us valley people or bay people arent in NorCal...Its NorCal baby!! LOL

pick up a Road Atlas, it geographically divides CA just a few miles north of Merced (Atwater) ... no matter, really, just being accurate ... Fresno has always been considered the 'central valley', anyway (neither north or south will claim it) ...
