Yep, there is more than one way to scrog a plant! My set up is a bit different than most- I have both top and side lighting- a pair of tube fluoros on the back wall. So my bottom buds do better than most folk's do.

I gave up scrogging for LST (low stress training) where, instead of fiddling with screens, I just hang weights (bolts from my hubby's collection of rusty bolts) and use skewers and twist ties to bend the plants down. I grow in 19 gallon tubs and my plants are usually 6 to 10 inches high. However, they often cover the whole (18 x 24) top of the tub. I want horizontal growth, not vertical. That way all the buds get equal amounts of light and all grow quite nicely.

Scrogging is fun, you get to play with your plants a lot. LST is simpler to set up and maintain. To each their own! - Granny:hippy:
