No no. They deserve real punishment. If they associate bad behaviour with unbearable pain they wont do it. And no, it's not about keeping the children in fear. But they need to know what is right and what is wrong, and if they do wrong, they pay the price.

I cant stand racism - especially from little children like that who probably dont know the half of it - so in that case they deserve a good beating. They were wrong, they got punished.

And concidering the father bothered telling them off, im sure he cares, and was disappointed which would cause me to beleive that he has taught them manners.
