Your claims that I got "smacked around as a kid" are totally unjust, uncalled for and potentially offensive to people who really did get beaten as children. You also say to me "your still a child yourself" but I'm not the one coming up with posts like yours, thankfully. You maybe an adult by age, but by attitude your still very much under developed and I certainly pity you for that.
I never got psychically disciplined as a child. My parents thankfully had alittle more common sense and taught me what I did wrong with words, rather than unnecessary pain.

I'm certainly not underdeveloped because i beleive in REAL punishment. Theres a BIG differnence between discipline and hitting children for no good reason.

Kids today lack manners, respect for their elders and authority, when I was a kid if my old man caught me shouting at an adult in the street I would have got a good hiding, nowaday kids know that if anyone including their parents lay a finger on them then they can take them to court for assault.
I am all in favor of bringing back the right to give them a good hiding and bring back corporal punishment in school, it never did me any harm.

I got my ass beat all the time when I was a kid, and I deserved it. When I was really little, I know telling me I was gonna be in trouble wouldn't do anything, telling me I was wrong and explaining it didn't work, I was a little brat who wasn't to be reasoned with. Now if the belt was brought out, or dad got a broom handle, then I would know when I crossed the line. I turned out okay and know not to set people off. So I'm in full support of a bit of physical punishment, because sometimes it's the only thing that will make someone understand. Nothing speaks louder than pain. :jointsmile:

IMO, kids should get the shit beat out of them if they do shit like that. First of all that was just plain rude and even at that age I knew that not to do that kind of shit. Theres a difference in being stupid running around when your little (sneaking out, ect.) and being racist and rude. Those kids deserved what was coming to them. Any parents who lets there kids run all over them or lets their kids run all over somebody else probably needed better parenting themselves.

The way i see it - those kids get beat, and learn a lesson or they do it to someone else and get their faces blown apart or hands chopped off. Because that kinda thing might piss someone off. It'd certainly piss me off. It's for their own good.

my sisters two boys for instance,

she yell and yell at em to get theyre shoes on so they can go home,

the kids sit there blatantly blanking their mother and continue playing,

i (standing on the stairs) see this instantly walk over grab each kid by the back of their shirts,

I think you miss understood what I said chisme. I didn't get physically disciplined as a kid, meaning my parents didn't use pain to teach me a lesson. If I was being alittle bastard of course I was sorted out and put in line, for example if I wasn't putting my shoes on when told I would be forced over there and be made to put them on, that doesn't involve pain and being hit about.
If we look back at the original topic, my first post was simply stating that if these kids had been brought up to have any respect for anyone, they wouldn't be shouting racist remarks out the window and be generally little fuckers.
I never really said much else, apart from laugh at LIP.

No no. They deserve real punishment. If they associate bad behaviour with unbearable pain they wont do it. And no, it's not about keeping the children in fear. But they need to know what is right and what is wrong, and if they do wrong, they pay the price.
