    Workout Routine

I need some help creating a legit workout routine that I can ease myself into and eventually raise the weight and reps.

I'm about 6'1, 190lbs, i'm not fat or even chubby, but I still have some excess fat around my chest, stomach, and obliques that I would love to get rid of. I know I can't have an all-muscle, ripped body, in a few days, but I want to have a lot of muscle once summer rolls around

I'm tired of being conscience of my body. Most people would tell me I'm being ridiculous, but In my opinion, I have an average build. I know I have a lot of potential for some muscle mass, and I know I could get really big because I'm already a big guy. I want to be able to sit down without a shirt and not worry about people looking at my stomach rolls, I just want to have a body where I can do stuff without my shirt on and not have to worry about people judging me, and not only judging me, but I want girls to be attracted to me in a physical way for once.

I was pretty fit in high school because I played a few sports, but I've kind of gotten lazy since graduation. My diet hasn't been great, I don't get out and exercise all that much and I miss that feeling you get after a really intense workout. I miss being high on andorphines.

So, can anyone point me in a positive direction towards a legitimate workout that I can ease myself into. I want to get rid of the fat first, then start building some muscle mass. Does anyone know of any good websites that can direct me to a workout plan for my body type and situation?

I wasn't positive of where to put this thread so I put it in the Lounge, also because there's more activity here. Thanks in advance and I look forward to some responses. Thanks all.

That's just the thing. It should something that you feel comfortable doing. Workouts are different for everyone. What I did is I found a gym with a reasonable price and they gave me my workout. So now, since Im paying, that's enough motivation for me to take advantage of my membership. I also got healthier munchies and had to smoke less so I wouldn't be hungry all the time.

I also go out and play football or bastketball instead of just vegging out in front of the T.V.

so im sure someone could give you a workout routine but I think it's best if you stop being lazy and find out for yourself.

good luck man, im trying to get fit also.

Bodybuilding.com - The Future Of Bodybuilding! Huge Bodybuilding Site. has a lot of articles on such. I personally do weight training 3 to 4 days a week on different muscle groups, and fit in cardio when I have time.

I love a trampoline, now at my house I have that mini one but blast some music and just keep moving on it. Its sort of this new craze in LA, and I wish I had the big trampoline because thats when you can get really creative. Look up the health benefits, and consider something that isnt like having to hit a gym. By the way get a neoprene belt to wear why you work out, it melts away problem areas in the mid section. I love it and my man says he has never seen another hourglass shape like mine. It just makes you sweat alot in that area making the longer you wear it a good thing.

Thanks for the replies. I want to make it clear I'm not trying to take any supplements. I don't believe in that kind of thing. I've been researching, and I've spoken with a few of my father's friends (my father used to have a workout club on our street) and I think for now, I'm just going to do a helluva lot of running. I think running and general cardiovasculuar activities will be the most beneficial for my situation. Then slowly, I'll ease myself into cardio + weight lifting into one workout.

i use that neprene belt when i run and lift weights. its really does work. I was skeptical when i bought it thoe. If you dont want to use one of those or dont have the money too. Use a trash bag, cut out arms and a head, then tuck it in your shorts. its really makes ya sweat. I did that for wrestling a few years back.

yeah it's best if you totally change the way you approach food and the body. constantly educate yourself on efficient exercise and why certain foods are healthier than others. If you're forcing yourself to do something, you're not doing it right. Good diet and exercise should be a knee-jerk reaction because you've prepared your mind to want it, and once you get used to healthy food, it's like your taste buds kick in for the first time. you won't want salt or sugar and the tasty complexities of simple foods come out because you have a more discerning palate. Make it an intense hobby, or an obsession.
