Anyone Else Dependent on Erb to get to Sleep?
Not that I am complaining (well, at the moment I am because I am almost dry), as erb is much healthier with less side effects than prescription sleep aids, but just wondering if anyone else has to smoke if they plan on getting any sleep?
If I am dry, it is usually a very long, sweaty night, followed by a sleep-deprived, pissed-off day at work....

I think eventually you fall asleep, i don't think anyone needs cannabis to sleep. You can't stay awake for ever. I know what you mean though, when you're used to it and you take it away, it can take longer.

Anyone Else Dependent on Erb to get to Sleep?
i tend to only average 5 hours sleep without (since i was a wee baby), and about 8-9 with just a small (about 1/4-1/3rd gram) amount eaten an hour before bed

Nope, not me. I'm sleepy enough as it is. Possibly on the weekends when I don't work I might have problems getting to sleep as I don't work, but during the weekdays, hauling heavy appliances and furniture all day, plus walking to and from work (10km there and back), I am more than tired at the end of the day.
I get lots of exercise, so by the end of day, I could just go to bed no problem.
It's not that I am dependant on herb. People assume that if you smoke it regularly, you are hooked or dependant on it. I smoke it because I enjoy smoking it. I have money to buy it or produce it, so why not buy those things in life that give you pleasure? Some people like to shop, some people drive fancy cars and soupe them up, some people like hunting ro playing video games...I like to smoke weed, combined with coffee and my guitar, I am perfectly happy.
I don't smoke before work either, or at work. There are the ones who like to do that, but I don't. I don't like to work high, especially not heavy lifting and stuff.
So take that society!

Atkeni, you are able to get effects from eating just 1/3 or 1/4 of a gram? What's yo secret recipe weed dish that you make?
I feel you about the 5 hours thing... I am not entirely dependen to sleep.. as someone said, I will eventually get to sleep, but I will only get 4-5 hours.
I want to be healthy and happy and get 8-10 hours...
Oddly, even though my tolerance is way up there and I cannot remember the last time I felt high, I still seem to be able to get the analgesic effects (such as going to sleep) after only 1 bowl.
Perhaps it is all in my head, maybe someone should pack my bowl with mint or something and see if placebo is enough to get me to sleep.
But then again, considering the sweating and constant tossing and turning when I try to sleep without erb... sweating is a physical symptom, not likely induced by something "in my head," as I do not suffer from any psycho-somatic illnesses.

I thought your post said "I don't smoke before work either, or before work."

Makes ALL the difference in the world for my husband. I've known him for 15 years. The first 13 years he had HORRIBLE sleep issues....and tried EVERYTHING and I do mean EVERYTHING. The last two years (since we've begun growing our own) a ganja cookie a night does him great. And like M fellow said.....it's the difference between 3-4 hours of crappy rest and 8 hours of good sleep. He's definitely much happier and healthier for it.

The funny thing is, weed keeps me awake. I have a cousin who also experiences the same thing. That is, of course, unless I get stoned out of my mind, which is probably smoking 5 or 6 bowls to my face in an hour or so.
